Bikini Waxing - The Brazilian

Now is the time to learn specifically about bikini waxing. You might never wear a bikini, for a number of reasons. But the line just under your underwear seam may contain hair; hence the term bikini waxing came into place. Salons do this for both women and men, several times a day in hot weather. Although the key reason for doing this is to not have a noticeable line of hair showing when one is in a bathing suit, or underwear for that matter, many people do this to avoid body odor as well as to have their private parts more suitable looking for a partner. Okay, so what’s the good, bad and Brazilian all about?

The Basic Bikini Wax (the “good”)

A basic bikini wax is so much like the term that it describes itself perfectly. The person needing the wax will basically lie down on a table in the salon, and will need to have their underwear either pulled aside or completely removed. The idea is to have any hair removed that could be seen when the person is wearing a bikini, although some people want a certain amount “in” taken off, for example “one inch in”. Once it has been determined where the wax goes, warmed wax is applied directly and ONLY onto the hair that will be removed. Strips are placed on the wax for a certain amount of time, and RIP! There goes the strip, the wax and, more importantly, the hair. Sounds painless, but after a while, it gets easier. Since nothing goes onto the hair before it is waxed, the only other thing that a salon beauty consultant might do is to tweeze a few stray hairs into the designated area that the client wanted hair taken in to. After that, it’s just another 6 months before you can go back.

The Partial “Brazilian” (the “better”)

So, maybe you’d like a bit more than just “an inch in”, pertaining to your nether hair. Sounds like someone might have a yen for, say, a waxing in the shape of a heart, a four leaf clover, holiday wreath or something like that, eh? Well, yes! That’s precisely what a partial Brazilian is! The more interesting the shape, the more that one’s partner might appreciate the “look” of the nether region. And so it goes they will be happily getting into each other for the rest of the evening. Mind you, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with a bikini wax for the reason of wearing a bathing suit, although one can benefit by having a PB (partial Brazilian) done, while wearing a suit, because there is no true bikini line, so to speak of, once the design has been “Created”. Waxing of this kind takes a bit more practice, and there are stencils that are needed to create the design, since the idea will be to remove the hair around it. It can be done, however, and many people do it for special occasions, like Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and others.

The Full “Brazilian”!

Ah, lights, camera and action - ladies and gentleman, here’s the …. Brazilian! But, wait a minute! There’s nothing there. Absolutely NOTHING. That is the main idea of having a Brazilian: to be completely hairless in your nether region, that’s IT. Okay, you wonder, so what the heck is the hype about the “Brazilian” then? Well, the Brazilian was a fashion of waxing to look super sleek in a bathing suit or other gear that covers your nether region, by four Brazilian sisters in New York. Since then, ladies and men have enjoyed the full-Brazilian, although the ingrown hair factor is much increased by this particular style. That having been said, it nearly seems like a lot of “smoke and mirrors”, leading up to the secret of the Brazilian, doesn’t it?
